Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection caused COVID-19. This response focuses on the mechanism by which SARS-CoV-2 enters host cells, specifically the binding of the spike(S) protein to its receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and subsequent membrane fusion. SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibodies have been developed for preventive or therapeutic uses. Human neutralizing antibodies that target the host ACE2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike protein1-5 show promise therapeutically .Neutralizing antibodies can block infection, clear pathogens, and are essential to provide long-term immunity.
