H-2Kd and H-2Dd are classical MHC class I alloantigens encoded within the murine major histocompatibility complex (H-2 system). These transmembrane glycoproteins function as critical components of the adaptive immune system by mediating antigen presentation to cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) through interactions with the CD3/T-cell receptor (TCR) complex and the CD8 co-receptor.
