Human CD79B Monoclonal Antibody

Polatuzumab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody against the human CD79B protein, which is ubiquitously expressed on the surface of malignant B cells. Polatuzumab vedotin is used to treat diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) after at least two other cancer treatments did not work or have stopped working. It is given in combination with bendamustine (Bendeka, Treanda) and a medicine that contains rituximab (Rituxan). Polatuzumab vedotin works by attaching to CD79b and releasing a toxic substance that kills the cancer cells. Polatuzumab biosimilar uses the same protein sequences as the therapeutic antibody polatuzumab. Synonyma: B29, IGB, AGM6, Igbeta
