Used to study pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in acute myeloid leukemia, juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia, neutropenia, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, and visceral leishmaniasis. Orthologous to human CSF2 (colony stimulating factor 2).
