The in vivo grade recombinant hamster monoclonal antibody (clone: 37.51) specifically binds to the mouse CD28 protein. CD28 is a critical costimulatory receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Upon binding to its ligands CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2)—expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs)—CD28 triggers intracellular signaling cascades that promote T cell proliferation, cytokine production, and the survival of activated T cells.
