CLS-354 cells are a distinct human cell line derived from primary squamous carcinoma of the oral cavity, specifically isolated from a 51-year-old Caucasian male. This cell line, established in 1998, has been a pivotal model in the study of squamous cell carcinoma in the oral region. The cell line's origin from a clinically derived tumor provides it with a genetic and phenotypic composition that closely mimics the in vivo condition, making it particularly useful for studies focused on cancer pathology and therapeutic interventions.
